"Misfits"

Why aren't they dachshunds?!?

Sometimes, we are contacted about doxies in need of rescuing, and they are with one or two other dogs .... in the same terrible situation. How can we turn our backs on these pups? We can't. Yes, our main priority is rescuing senior and special needs dachshunds, but sometimes we take in younger, adoptable fur babies, and when needed, we take in other breeds.

AUGGIE

  • Current Status: Adoptable
  • Age: 6
  • Pug mix, tan
  • Potty trained

Auggie was rescued from a shelter just before being euthanized. At 6 years old, he is still exploring the world like a curious puppy. He’s not a fan of being crated, and he loves to ride shotgun in the car. This pup will do better as the only pet, or possibly with one other sibling, as he enjoys getting attention.
