 Thank you for your interest in adoption! We have some beautiful babies that would flourish in a home of their own. Don't let the silver on their faces keep you from seeing the light in their eyes. Seniors make a wonderful addition to many homes, and they have so much love to give. Please keep in mind that senior Dachshunds are not always a good fit with families who have very young children. Our babies have neither been kid-tested nor have they been exposed to cats.  If this information appears it is from the previous owner or the foster family. 

 All of our adoptable babies have been altered, updated on all age appropriate vaccinations, tested for heart worms and intestinal worms, and any required dental work has been done. All of our seniors have a complete blood work up to ensure there are no underlying medical conditions. Some of our adoptable seniors require medications each day and that is indicated in their bios.

Because we rescue mostly senior and special needs dogs we don't do nearly as many adoptions as a regular rescue group. We do however make every effort to place as many of our babies as possible up for adoption. Quite a few of our available dogs are bonded with another dog. We have one set of three dogs that have spent their entire lives together, and they must be adopted together. While we understand that adopting multiple dogs at once is difficult, we are committed to keeping these bonded babies together. 

We are open to adoption from any state. Our transport team can get these babies to most areas in Texas and Louisana, to the Arkansas, border, and Oklahoma City. Adoptive families outside of the state must, however, provide that additional part of any transports. We are open to adoptive families flying in to Midland to pick up their new family members. We will not, however, place a dog on a plane to fly alone.

Our adoption fees are $350. Any bonded pairs or groups are also $350 as keeping these babies together is our priority.   We also offer a senior-for-senior discount; any senior human over 60 years of age who adopts a senior dog over 7 years of age is eligible for a reduced adoption fee of $150.
